Frequently Asked Questions

What impact does Covid-19 have on the tours?

We have recently re-opened our tours. We have reduced our capacity to 6 guests per on each of our tours for the foreseeable future. The City of Toronto has implemented regulations that mandate face masks to be worn in public buildings. As this tour does go through some public spaces and buildings, we do ask, that each guest bring a mask. We do carry extras if one is needed. We also do have hand sanitizer but do recommend you bring some on your own. We are following the directions of Public Health Toronto in determining whether our tours are operating.

Will I get a confirmation when the tour is booked?

Once your booking is received at Buzz Tours, an automated booking confirmation will be sent to you. The tour start time and location will be included in the booking. A reminder for your tour will also be sent to you 1 day prior to the start time (if your tour has been booked more than one day in advance).

How many guests will be on my tour?

Each of our walking tours has a maximum limit of 10 guests per tour. Generaly our group size is between 3-7 guests per tour.

What if the weather is bad on the day of my tour?

We will do our best to have a tour no matter the weather.  In cases of extreme weather (severe storms and extreme heat and cold), there are three options that may be given:
1. The PATH tour may be offered as an alternate.
2. A refund will be provided for the tour.
3. The tour will be cancelled and the amount you paid will be refunded.
Reasons for Buzz Tours cancelling a tour due to weather
1. The temperature is expected to be 34C (95F) or higher,
2. The temperature is expected to be -18C (0F) or lower,
3. Severe weather such as a blizzard, or heavy rain or tornadoes in the area.
In all three cases above, a full refund will be provided to guests

What happens if the tour is cancelled?

Hopefully, we will never have a reason to cancel a tour.  In the event that we do have to cancel a tour, you will be notified, and a refund will be issued.

What happens if I am late for my tour?

Please notify Buzz Tours if you are running behind for your tour. As other guests may have plans immediately following our tour, we cannot delay the start of a tour by more than a few minutes.

Once the tours begin, our guides must focus on the tour, and will not be able to answer calls or text messages.

We may be able to provide you with our next few stops in order that you can catch up with the group.
If you do miss the tour due to lateness, we will do our best to book you on an available tour in the next 3 days. If this is not possible then the missed tour will be considered a no-show and no refund will be provided.

May I pay cash for my tour?

We do not accept cash for our tours.   Our website accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners and JCB for payments.

Are there breaks on the tours?

Most of our tours have at least 1 break on the way (if needed).  If time allows, we have been known to stop and pick up a coffee along the way.

How far in advance can I book a tour?

Our tours are added to our calendar at least  6 months to 1 year in advance of the tour date. Tours are removed from our calendar between 2 and 6 hours prior to the start time of each tour. During summer season it is recommended that you purchase your tickets in advance and many of our tours reach capacity.

What language are your tours conducted in?

Currently our tours are offered in English only.
